OUR CAMPUS

Parole de Vie is located on the edge of Sherbrooke. Its ninety acres of fields, hills and woodlands provide the student with an ideal setting for studying the Word of God and spiritual healing.  Students are accommodated in double or single occupancy rooms and eat in a central dining room.

An in-ground pool, a volleyball court, soccer pitch and a few hiking trails on the grounds of the school provide students with several hours of leisure during the summer months. In the winter, activities center around the skating rink, available to students for the broomball and free skating. The Word of Life library contains about 4,000 theological works.

OUR HISTORY

1934

When Jack Wyrtzen, the founder of Word of Life, began to proclaim the Gospel in the streets of New York in 1934, no one could imagine the extent of the Word of Life ministry today. As the ministry grew to include rallies, youth clubs, camps and bible schools, evangelical fervor has not changed. The main purpose of Word of Life has always been to announce the message of the Gospel to those who have never heard it. Today, more than 500 missionaries work with Word of Life in some fifty countries with the youth.

1992

In December 1992, the board of directors of the Bethel Bible Institute asked Parole de Vie Canada to take over the ministry as a work for francophone youth.

1994

In September 1994, Parole de Vie Béthel opened its doors to host the pioneer class of only eight students. Since that time the department has grown remarkably. To date, more than 200 youth have completed the program. In addition, hundreds of youths are reached through four snow camps, four weeks of summer camps, and provincial tours and rallies organized with the help of students. By the grace of God, an army of young men and women stands up for the cause of the gospel.

Confession of Faith

We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, without error in its originality, and the final authority in matters of faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe in one God, Creator and one who sustains the universe, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, His divinity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation at the right hand of God, His personal, imminent and premillennial return
(Isaiah 7:14, John 20:20, 1 Thessalonians 4.13-18, 5.9,  Titus 3.4,  Hebrews 4.15, 1 Peter 2:24, Philippians 2: 9)

We believe that all have sinned and are therefore guilty before God and His condemnation.
(Romans 3: 9-23)

We believe that all those who by faith receive Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit. They are therefore children of God, eternally saved. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer to illuminate him, guide him and make him able to live, testify and serve.
(John 10: 27-30, 14: 16,17, 1 Corinthians 6: 19,20, 1 Peter 1:22, 23)

We believe that God gives spiritual gifts to every believer for the edification of the body of Christ; However, we believe that some of these gifts of the Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and miraculous healings, were evidently reserved for the primitive church. We believe that God hears the prayers of his people, responding to their needs as it seems good to him
(Acts 2: 10,19, 1 Corinthians 12:11, 13: 8-13, 14:22)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; In the eternal happiness of the redeemed in glory, in the judgment and in the conscious and eternal punishment of the unjust in hell.
(Matthew 7:23, 25:41, 1 Corinthians 15: 42-58, Revelation 20: 5, 6, Luke 16: 23-26)

We believe that every believer is called to live a life of separation from the world, with his practices and with his covenants, all in his personal life as well as in his public or ecclesiastical life.
